* The total number of tests that have been reported to the New Jersey Department of Health using PCR, the most widely used viral testing method. It is not a count of how many people have been tested. Some persons have been tested multiple times, while some tests produce inconclusive results and need to be repeated. Additionally, about 20 percent of the tests performed on New Jersey residents, particularly persons who were tested at private facilities, have been processed by laboratories that are not known to consistently report negative results.
N.J. Enlists Field Medical Stations in COVID-19 Fight
Three field medical stations, regionally located in the northern, central and southern parts of the state, provide up to 1,000 beds to increase capacity and assist hospitals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
